Ek ry my sataliet

My maat Jan vertel my nouie dag hy's so besig hy kannie sy "vathomlaag" draai nie.

Reflections

I am on a path of self discovery and it only ends when I die
I thought I new myself and discovered that there is still much to learn...
I think every one of us has the spirit of a child tucked away inside.
I think this is the way we were born, how we where made: free from the restrictions brought about by lies, knowledge and the pain of loss.
As time goes by we learn and gain experience, becoming adult, pushing our “child spirit” into the deepest corners of our awareness.
And then, sometimes our spirit reaches from within, past the drunkenness, the greed,
the high education, past our poverty or wealth, past our brokenness of body and soul, out to the Great Spirit like a child to a father.
You want to run and play like a child, play and sing, paint, express your feelings freely, laugh or cry, like children do, believe like a child, without the knowledge of probabilities and the limitations of our mental and physical existence.

The greatest man to ever walk this earth said it is necessary for us to become like a child to enter into the place of the Most High.

Other men and women followed using the knowledge and experience they gained in time combined with the unrestricted imagination of a child - the firm belief that the impossible is possible, driving them on to creating a better understanding for generations to follow. Paul, Leonardo Da Vincy, Newton, Mozart, Beethoven, Einstein, The Curie’s, Chris Barnard, Roger Banister, to mention but a few.
