Simply good

The sun sets on another week. From where I took the picture the land is slightly elevated giving a view over the farm toward the west and north. It was quiet up there with only the evening breeze and occasional guinea fowl calling. In the distance the sound of the traffic on the N14; drifting and dipping, drifting and dipping with the shift in the breeze.

Standing up there I realized again; when being alone my own sincerity is best checked for in times like these I frequently have the opportunity to reflect inward.

Bloods day

Yesterday was bloods day and I survived the spacewalk to Star Gate (West Gate). Only two tubes had to be taken so the loss to me was minimal. I made it quick as there was a lot for me to do back at the "satellite". The new term for my faraway place of existence. Maybe when Marlene joins me up here we can refer to the "mother ship!"

I though it would be appropriate to share how the wheat is doing and attach for your interest a picture of current green in this landscape of gold and brown. These patches of lush greenery attract hundreds of wild geese that flock here in the early evenings to feed.

After being a bit lonely on Friday the weekend turned out to be not so lonely after all. Thank you to my neighbours across the way and the visitors!
