Offish

I woke up Sunday morning feeling dull headed and achy and spent the whole day sitting under a blanket feeling flueish. Bombed myself with aspirin and ascorbic acid hoping to kill what ever is brooding. Today was better but spent the day in much the same manner trying to recover. By tomorrow I should now how serious this is or was. Hoping it will be a "was". I am looking forward to Marlene's first visit and she is due to be arriving on Thursday. My neighbours have left to go on holiday and will only be back in a week so I have the Kakibosvlakte just about to myself. "Kakibos" is the name for a weed related to hemp and slightly related to cannabis and "vlakte" is a plain, so the name of this blog is a description of this place. "Mielievlakte" (Corn plain) would probably have been more accurate as hundreds of thousand of tons of white and yellow maize is currently being harvested in this area. The image shows the view when riding a harvester. Harvesting starts at about 08:30 and continues to 22:00, outside of these times the moisture content may be to high due to overnight condensation. A high moisture content (above 14%) negatively affects long term grain storage ability.
