Soja-payella alla fryingpan

A fairly lonely Saturday has just passed and my evening meal was a mixture of vegetables whith soy mince prepared in the ever faithful electric frying pan. I am no Sheff and Marlene had to show me a few tricks to try prepare me for this time-on-my-own period. She only left on Wednesday and I started missing her before she had boarded the plane.

One question: What makes a person leave his comfort-zone to enter a world of apparent uncertainty for an indefinite period of time?
